Professor El Rhaffari Lhoussaine specialises in value chain, small agroindustry and medicinal and aromatic plants (PMA).

He has participated in F2F programs, specifically in the MENA region and in Morocco.

He has conducted and implemented the F2F Program-Morocco, identifying multiple HOs, writing SOWs, meeting with donors, and preparing workshops and outcomes.

As an international consultant, Professor Lhoussaine provides assistance in

  • The PMA sector,
  • Environment and natural resource sustainability,
  • Education and training within the ecosystem (and agrosystem),
  • Agroecology and rural agroindustry,
  • The food system.

 

As a professor at University Moulay Ismail Meknes, he has conducted research and development projects on wild and cultivated PMA, value chain development, adding value to traditional local products.

Pr. El Rhaffari is responsible for leading the team on Environment and human Health.

Professor Lhoussaine is a contributor to national strategies of valuation and conservation of the ecosystem, and is a member of the Center of Innovation and Technological Transfer.

He is an organizer of more than 20 national and international scientific and technical events, and is the author of more than one hundred publications and presentations at international, regional, and local levels.

As a congressional member, he has integrated Slow Food International since 2010. He has also held a position as founder and general secretary at Société Marocaine des Plantes Aromatiques et Médicinales (NGO) since 2006.
